Polaroid Emulsion Workshop at Loki Coffee | Fri. Sept. 18

Friday, September 18
2–5 p.m.
at Loki Coffee, 325 E 900 S, Salt Lake City
$15

Join us for a Polaroid emulsion lift workshop where we'll create one-of-a-kind prints while connecting with fellow locals at Loki Coffee.

Polaroid emulsion lifts are a slow and intentional art process. Each guest will be able to make 2 prints using Polaroids taken the same day! The workshop will start with an introduction demo, and then each guest will take two Polaroids (cameras and film provided.) They need to sit for 30-40 minutes, so we can enjoy Loki beverages and chat while we wait! Once the Polaroids are ready, we'll use hot water and paint brushes to slowly separate the emulsion and transfer it to watercolor paper.

With each participating ticket comes with a complimentary free drink card for any of the Loki Coffee drinks!

Note: All materials will be provided for you! Including cameras, Polaroid film, watercolor paper, and brushes.

If you have your own Polaroid camera + film and would like to make more than two (2) emulsion lifts, you are welcome to bring them. But make sure it’s Polaroid, not Fujifilm Instax.

Only 10 spots available. RSVP by sending $15 via Venmo to @victoriahills (https://www.venmo.com/u/victoriahills)

My Process

What’s your story? Where are you internally and where have you found yourself externally? I’m a historian at heart, a curious empath. Let’s make a rememberance.

There’s wonder all around us, you know!
